Where do I begin… This period has been, and still is, a challenging one for all of us. It’s been filled with difficulty as well as rays of positivity, but mostly, it’s moved us away from our usual thought patterns about things being good or bad, black or white; we have found that in truth, everything can exist in parallel, together, without contradiction.

Covid-19 caught me in the middle of an in-depth thought process and helped me refine and clarify many thoughts and feelings, one of which was to do with my website, which had always felt alien to me. Personal contact, seeing your expression, and most of all feeling your presence here at the studio, simply cannot be recreated online.

We began working on the website way back when… but over Corona, when it became clear that face-to-face meetings would not always be feasible, it became clear that we needed a website that would create a feeling as close to ‘personal’ as possible.

At every stage of creating the site – a different kind of creation from what I am used to – I was guided by the principle of making the online experience personal.

I hope I managed to embed these feelings and desires into the finished product. Through the website you can wander, look, feel and, at the click of a button, reach us and get a human response that will give you the personal shopping experience you are so familiar with from the studio. Of course, we are still here and as always, happy to see you 😊

And so this period, which has been forced upon us and deprives us of face-to-face meetings, became the trigger I needed to recognize the importance of having a website that would give you an experience as close as possible to personal.

There’s no doubt in my mind that this is the right thing to do. Geographical proximity has become irrelevant but, on the other hand, so has distance. The online global village cannot be shut down by ‘closed skies’ and so has become the new way for us to stay ‘close’.

I now understand that by being very precise, we can maintain the level of personal connection we want to provide and that you have become used to, even through a screen.
