Throughout this period, I have been keeping busy and focused, making sure to draw on the positive elements this period has brought us. Instead of looking outward and drowning in an ocean of negativity, I searched for the light, even if it was only small sparks, mostly hidden from view. It felt like I was gathering small delicate signs, like a gentle flicker you can miss if you blink, or an almost imperceptible breeze that you’re not exactly sure whether you felt, or just imagined.

And that is what I’m still doing. Collecting the colors, gathering sparks of light and insights. Expanding the heart, letting emotions – good emotions – do their work. I understand that the pace is different, human connection is changing, my inner needs seek to be released and find their way, to receive a ‘stamp’ that says “it is possible”, even in a time of chaos when we do what we need and must do, to also make space for what the soul wants.

During these obscure days, I have gone back – to my desk, to the store and the space that always fills me with positive, happy energy. It is the light that drew me into the creation process – small and gentle and so very needed light. I didn’t know where I was headed and had no words to describe what was to come. I just started and created according to what my soul dictated.

And so, I wrapped myself in diamonds, seating myself in front of their light, creating only by intuition. Now, as everything unfolds before me, I discover a wealth of light and small, delicate, peaceful connections.

Yes, inside this storm that is happening all around us, there is much quiet and stability to be found.

As a jewelry designer I sit under an umbrella with many and varied layers. One of them is my passion for injecting new life into the way we wear an existing piece of jewelry.

Many of my clients have been with me for years, and I have always wanted to help then renew their collection, without needing to put aside the pieces they already own. The idea of combining without overloading and the precision it requires, is a challenge that I particularly enjoy.

When you come to me with your jewelry, a refreshing new creation forms and every piece can become part of something new once again. I move pendants, add diamonds, replace parts. Necklaces become bracelets and rings become pendants. Everything is open to new ideas and new creations. 

For me, this process brings great pleasure, and is truly an honor.

There are times when you come to me with an old piece of jewelry, one that evokes a memory and touches the heart. You want to maintain the memory, but have the piece connect to the here and now, so that it represents who you are today. The new creation allows you to reconnect, it suddenly feels like it belongs to you, like you have always worn it, and at the same time allows you to get excited about having something new.

However, there are times when it simply isn’t possible to create a new piece of jewelry from an old one. In such cases you can sell the gold to be melted down and enjoy a credit in favor of a new piece.

Stones and diamonds can be reset into a new piece of jewelry that is reminicent of the old and will thrill and excite you, while allowing you to remember the history and cherish the memories. 

Jewelry has vast emotional or material value, often it has both. But there is something magical in giving it new life, injecting it with a new essence, or renewing and refining the essence that already existing within it.
